The dusk light is magical this mid-winter. Although the streets are quiet, Oxford city rings with music and events.

We are very happy help you work these into your day to take advantage of the opportunity, whether a festival, an exhibition, a performance or simply one of the many sites, which are free all year around.

A good example is evensong at Christ Church. This Christmas Christ Church offers an opportunity to enjoy their Christmas tree trail.

Each tree has a unique theme, showing off some of the hugely rich associations of Christ Church including Alison in Wonderland, a medieval Saint, Henry VIII, pilgrimages and the traditional nativity. Below the White Rabbit, from Alice's Wonderland, is depicted in stained glass. Coloured glass is yet another great seam of history and beauty which stands out on the Christ Church tour.
