Winter time has returned to Oxford and after 4pm interiors light-up. As twilight falls on winter's sharp light glorious spaces can be admired from the street. Two of my favourites are the Duke Humphrey's Library and the Library of All Souls College.

Peep at fabulous staircases and painted ceilings while stained glass is set ablaze, beaming onto Oxford's streets, squares and quads.

Winter brings a fresh visual world to revive us guides after a long bright summer.

The student's are back now also bringing a different atmosphere to the streets.

World class choral music meant for them but often neglected is shared with the general public, if you are in Oxford in term time and love music or worship these events are strongly recommended.

The OHT journal has some useful tips to enjoy the spiritual arts of Oxford at free or simply welcoming events.
